Thranduil and the replacement Fili have both been cast...

Peter Jackson has posted a note on his Facebook page announcing the recast of Fili and the much-anticipated announcement of the actor playing Thranduil! Lee Pace will be playing the Elven King Thranduil and Dean O’Gorman will be playing Fili.

GUYS, SERIOUSLY, LIKE I HAVE HAD A CRUSH ON THIS GUY SINCE I FIRST SAW HIM ON HERCULES/XENA AND THEN ON YOUNG HERCULES. WHEN I WAS 13/14/15 I USED TO DREAM THAT I WOULD BE MARRIED TO THIS GUY. YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME AND HOW FUCKING AWESOME THIS IS BECAUSE A) I'VE WATCHED PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING HE'S BEEN IN OVER THE YEARS AND SOME OF IT'S HARD TO FIND. HELL, HE WAS THE VERY FIRST ACTOR I EVER CREATED A YAHOO GROUP/CLUB FOR WHEN I FIRST CAME ON THE INTERNET.

OMFG I'M SO MUCH MORE EXCITED FOR THIS FILM YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA. PETER JACKSON I LOVE YOU AND WILL HAVE AS MANY OF YOUR BABIES AS YOU WANT ME TO.

IKR?!?!? I think because we were so spoiled in LOTR with all teh hawt that they had to give us hot dwarves to get the women (and some men) to come see the film (not saying all women are that shallow, but it sure doesn't hurt).
