I'm back

Highlights/Observations/Lessons learned during the trip up to the cabin.

• Mosquito's should be banned from the earth.
  
• Otter's like to come up and steal things from our deck early in the morning.
  
• Newly built outhouses with no blue prints/set planning end up being the size of a small house.
  
• Pat, the man I have to thank for turning me on to the world of LOTR when I was 10, knows all.
  
• I am queen of the BBQ.
  
• Oysters are really fast creatures. LOL
  
• gremmie_goo is dive bombed by bats while eating pie out on the deck, then proceeds to run screaming inside.
  
• I am held hostage by bats for a good 10 minutes outside on the deck while trying to retrieve my book and take their picture. I thought I was brave, until they started flying 6 inches away from my head. gremmie_goo just laughs at me from inside the cabin and takes pictures.
  
• gremmie_goo and I are held hostage by a mouse that decided to come in and run up beside Leann's head while reading, then left our room.
  
• Have finally accomplished a goal: I have gotten mum to read the first two Harry Potter books.
  
• Foot high flames on the BBQ isn't a good thing.
  
• Jack likes to steal tarts off the table- while you're looking at him.
  
• Badly twisted ankles still hurt like a bitch 24 hours later. *ices ankle*
  
• Entire skeleton of a deer found in the forest is neat.
  
• I am cursed with flashlights.
  
• I still scream when I see a slug on the ground, but at least now I don't freeze up and refuse to move like I did when I was 10.
  
• Professor McGonagall visited Canada.
  
• The last paragraph of The Notebook scares me.
  
• Starfish like to have big orgies.
  
• gremmie_goo and I are stalked by Oyster Catcher Birds while on reef.
  
• I am insanely jealous of Leann's new cell phone.
  
• Deer like to eat in our back yard, and in the neighbours. They still look like cougars. *whistles*
  
• TURN YOUR WHEEL!!! TURN YOUR WHEEL!!! TURN YOUR WHEEL!!!
  
• I wish I were still at the cabin, and I hope to go back real soon. We'd probably still be there right now, but gremmie_goo and I have front row seats to Evanescence tomorrow.

I'm burnt, I'm tired, my foot hurts like a motherfucker, so I'm going to bed!
