NEW LAYOUT: [livejournal.com profile] leggyslove

Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll; Tangled won, but I could not for the life of me get anything I made to my liking. I was creatively stumped and thought that the least I did the better I would feel and it worked. I love Stardust and thought that would be a nice theme.

Tomorrow is my interview, drawing test, creativity test and communications test at the university tomorrow. They may as well just take some blood and hair samples to test my DNA to make sure I'm really me after everything. Either way I'm not really worried, I'll just do my best and that'll have to suffice.

My back is slowly getting better. I had a physio appointment today and she's really pleased with my progress. I'm starting to walk without a cane now and am able to do some things on my own. I made dinner last night without any help and also was able to pick up Moe (if cats were sumo wrestlers he'd be one). My boss has me scheduled for a shift on the 18th, so we'll see how that goes and if it goes well then I can get back to work on a more regular basis. Which is good because mum and I don't want to go begging on the streets. Mum said that I should rent out my uterus to a gay couple and make $100,000. XD

NEW LAYOUT: [livejournal.com profile] leggyslove.

In honour of Merlin coming back on Saturday (about bloody time, too) I decided to deck my layout out with the awesome that is Merlin/Arthur/Morgana. I wanted Gwen in there as well, but I just couldn't get it the way I wanted with her in it. Sorry, Gwen. Anyway, I'm happy with it.

In other news:

Rubber Ducky, Jr. in Hawaii on Friday

Hobo hair... check.
Swim Shorts... check.
Necklace... check.
Kiddie inner tube... check.
Ability to look like a GQMF to the power of infinity looking like this... check.
bunnylove: (Iron Man - Tony Approves of this icon.)
1. NEW LAYOUT! I'll miss my Holmes one, but I'm all set for Iron Man now. *pets Tony Stark*

2. This past weekend was the big adoption event that VOKRA put on at Pet Smart. I helped out most of the day on Saturday and a bit on Sunday. Out of the 9 cats that we had in 6 got adopted out, so it was a successful weekend. I hope the three that weren't adopted (two had to go to a home together) will get a new home soon. ♥

3. And one of those adopted cats came home with me. *facepalm* I had to take Cleo home, I don't know why, but I did. She came home with me Sunday night and is a cute little thing. She is only about a year old and has already had a litter of kittens. She's recently been spayed, so her tummy is all shaved and pink. It's really cute. She's a friendly little thing, but not overly cuddly (yet), but she'll sleep beside me or near mum on the recliner. Everyone is a bit grumpy and Cleo is still nervous around Tinker and Moe, but it'll get better. It's only been three days after all.

Picture time!

Since I can't shut up about it it may not surprise anyone that I have a new layout! I love it and I love looking at it. >:D

My view of the new layout:

I finally have a new layout. I think this is the longest I've gone without changing it. I think my last change was back in... March? Eh, either way, I'm really happy with it. I wanted something different so I didn't go with the 'traditional' header image on top, but rather a background off to the side. Of course it will look different to those with smaller screen sizes, the image may be cut off some, but this is what I see and I'm happy:

Today was the first day of autumn here in Vancouver, but the weather is definitely not autumn, it is still summer weather. I had to go out today and wore a t-shirt, capris and flip flops. It was so crazy. I don't remember ever doing that so late in September.

My mum and I watched the first episode of Eastwick tonight and we really enjoyed it. It was just a fun, lighthearted kind of show and I think we will be watching it from now on.

Ticky?

I'm finally in the process of redoing my layout (I seriously had some serious muse issues in this department), and this is the first time I'm making it on my new laptop/screen size. I'm just curious to see what the average screen size for people are. I don't want to make something so huge that it'll fuck up everyone's page if you comment on stuff.

OMG POLL TIME!!!!! You can check more than one box.

[Poll #1458512]
bunnylove: (Star Trek - James T. Kirk)
I LOVE MY NEW COMPUTER!!!!! It's so big and shiny and... big and shiny. I've never had a laptop this size so it is kinda daunting. I CAN LOG INTO THINGS BY JUST SWIPING MY FINGER PRINT1!!!!1 I feel so... technologically advanced. :P Now comes the fun bit of installing everything. At least I have everything saved onto an external HD so I really don't have to import any pictures, music ect., just programs like Photo shop and the like. The only thing is the cooling plate/fan/whatever that I can put under laptops to help keep them cool is too small now, so I'll have to get a bigger one. Another thing is that I'll need to find wallpapers that will fit my screen now. It's 1920x1080, so if anyone knows of any SPN, TB or ST related wallies in this size let me know. :)

I've been on a huge classic Trek kick lately. I've re-watched all the movies (of the TOS series) and am eagerly awaiting my blu-ray's of the first season of TOS to arrive. I found a good deal on them on eBay, so I saved about $30. I feel like I'm 12 again when I ate, breathed and slept Star Trek.

Now that I have my new toy I am going to finally re-do my layout. I already know what I want, but was waiting to be able to get this. I am excited to get it done. I love my BSG, but I really wanted a change.

Mum and I saw The Hangover last night. Fucking loved it. Bradley Cooper, plz do me.

Nrf.

A very Happy Birthday to my mommy, who turns 26 today!!!!!

NEW LAYOUT! I needed something a bit brighter. I loved my DW one, but I got this idea in my head since there's only two episodes left. I also wanted to celebrate the women of BSG, because they are some of the strongest and most well written characters out there. *sniff*

Um, I think that's it for now. *falls asleep*
bunnylove: (Doctor Who - Tardis Scooter)
New Layout! [livejournal.com profile] leggyslove

I will miss my Dean one, but I felt the pull and needed a change and most said to do a Doctor Who layout. Still a couple tweaks I have to do, but other than that I'm satisfied with the result.

I feel like Rose in my mood icon.
bunnylove: (Jared - :D)
I want to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to Jared Padalecki and his now finance Sandy. Jared confirmed the he popped the question! Awwww. :) I kinda figured after seeing that huge rock on her finger when those pictures of them at that basketball game came out.

Honestly our weather is on crack or something. Last night when mum picked me up from work it was snowing. Snowing and as we got up to the higher levels it was really snowing. So much that it was hard to even see 20 feet in front of you while driving. Today it is sunny/cloudy and is cold, but the snow is melting. I WANT IT TO WARM UP! *ducks flying objects from people back east*

Tomorrow night [livejournal.com profile] gremmie_goo and I are going to see Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat, Pray, Love talk and going to reception afterwards. I'm really excited about this because I enjoyed her book a lot and to meet the author of it is kinda fun.

New layout over at [livejournal.com profile] bunny_icons. I'm quite pleased with it. :)
bunnylove: (LOTR - Elf ears)
NEW LAYOUT! I think the confirmation of The Hobbit made me think about when LOTR was happening and I felt the urge to change it. I really am going to miss my Petrelli's, but they're on my user info and my icons. Now it's all about the Elf and Filthy Human. ;)

[livejournal.com profile] damm, thank you very much for the V-Gift! That was so sweet and nice of you. :)

[livejournal.com profile] gremmie_goo and I are going to sign up for French lessons. I'm actually kind of excited, because I hated taking French through out high school and now I'm actually interested in really learning it. It's funny how things can change when you get older, because I could remember when I couldn't wait to stop taking it.

Looks like Meow Count 2008 is off to a good start!

Yays!

bunnylove: (Heroes - Adrian/Milo <333)
NEW LAYOUT! Kinda. I just changed the header and background since my muse seemed to latch on to my Heroes craze and this is the result. :)
bunnylove: (Heroes - Death)
NEW LAYOUT: [livejournal.com profile] leggyslove

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, they really did help, but I'm still stuck as to what subject to do, so I just made a nice 'stock image' layout. This is the first layout I've ever had that isn't some sort of show/movie/celebrity. It's kind of nice and I really like how the header image turned out. Changing the lettering over the mailbox was a bitch to do, but I love how it turned out. I go the original image from here. Until my muse gets with the program and I can figure out what to do I'll stick with this.

On a non layout note, mum and I went to the Vancouver SPCA/Hospital and she wasn't there. It was a long shot, but at least we checked it out. They said to keep checking and calling, there's still some hope. We did meet lots of nice animals and I wish we could take all of them home. They even had two turtles in a kiddie pool. :D Mum wouldn't let me take them. :(

We're going to check the North Van and West Van shelters again just to see if she's turned up there since we last checked.
bunnylove: (GG - Jess)
My Muse is broken! *pokes it with stick* I want to change my layout, but I'm at a complete loss. I've had this one since April, and while I still love it I need a change. I've got all the coding tweaked to my liking, but I'm at a loss for what theme. I keep bouncing back and forth between stuff; Supernatural, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Gilmore Girls, or some sort of scenery or autumn theme. Bah. I'm so confused. SO HERE IS A POLL OF HELPFULNESS!!!

[Poll #1043152]

If you have any particular pictures in mind or just want to post a pretty picture in the comments, feel free! Hopefully what you guys suggest will give me some idea. :)

I want a baby whale.
bunnylove: (GG - Alexis flowers)
NEW LAYOUT! I shall miss the boys, but I need something fresh for spring and something just fresh for myself. The first time I saw this pic of Alexis I just fell in love and I knew I had to do something with it.

This morning was a bit rough for me. I had just gotten up and I looked out the window to see Sebastian with a bird in his mouth. I ran out and he ran in, but luckily mum got the bird. The only problem was the bird flew into a window and was in shock. Poor thing. I just held it in my hand and hoped it would calm down. When it didn't fly away I started to lose it (I've had enough with animals dying the past week, thank you), so mum put it in a box with a towel and just put it up on a shelf. We left it alone for 15 minutes and then I took it back outside. I opened up the box and just stroked the birdy and it flew off, probably thinking it'll never come near here again. That's OK with me. I'm just happy it was alright (it even pooped in the box, but I don't blame it, I would too if I were it).

Today I treated myself to some new shoes (they were on sale! :D). They're black slip ons with silver skull and crossbones on them. Now can wear them with my Captain Jack and Will Turner t-shirts.

My dad bought a new/used laptop and he's never worked with Windows XP (his old one was running Windows 98 *shudder*), so he called me up asking how he turns it off. It was funny and cute at the same time.

Everyone should go vote for the bonus round over at [livejournal.com profile] spn_iconathon.

[livejournal.com profile] ladyminya!!! Keifter is on Conan O'Brien right now (it's an old interview) and he just threw himself into a Christmas tree. I immediately thought of you.

Now I go to bed.

Yum.

Is it wrong that I want to make out with my new layout? (layout looks best in FireFox)

Naaaaaw. ;)
bunnylove: (Supernatural - Dean)
NEW LAYOUT!!! [livejournal.com profile] leggyslove

I don't think I've changed layouts so quickly. *shrug* I loved my Fight Club layout, but it was just getting to dark for me. I'll miss Ed giving everyone the finger. I just needed something cleaner Dean, brighter Dean and Supernatural Dean.

[livejournal.com profile] spell, I hope your cursor shows up now. :D
bunnylove: (Edward Norton - yummy)
Everywhere I travel, tiny life. Single-serving sugar, single-serving cream, single pat of butter. The microwave Cordon Bleu hobby kit. Shampoo-conditioner combos, sample-packaged mouthwash, tiny bars of soap. The people I meet on each flight? They're single-serving friends.

It's dark, it's gritty, it's violent, it's fucking Fight Club.

I've always wanted to do a FC layout, but never did. I guess after seeing The Illusionist it put me in the mood for it. I was going to do something else entirely, but this felt right. :)

I also redid my userinfo... 3 weeks ago. :P
bunnylove: (Default)
Hence the new layout.

I've never switched layouts so fast as long as I've been on LJ. I really did like the other POTC layout I just had, but there were a few things that bugged me that I couldn't fix without having to recode the entire thing, and I just didn't feel like that. This layout I love! I was able to tweak everything to my liking tonight.

So this is what I got. Norrington Turner Sparrow. Because that? Is some nice pretty.

I HAVE THANK YOU'S!

[livejournal.com profile] nikitas_lair - THANK YOU! For the KOH EE DVD and bear! That is so sweet of you and I hope to watch it this weekend. *hugs tight*

[livejournal.com profile] weasleyswit - THANK YOU! For sending me the issue of TV Guide and the note. That really meant a lot, so thank you.

[livejournal.com profile] gremmie_goo - I already said thank you, but I wanted to let you know that your b-day pressie to me got me seasons 1 and 2 of the X-Files. *smish* I love it when Future Shop has a sale on.

Everyone else - Thanks for being who you guys are. :)

I've been pretty busy these past few days. Mum and I are currently doing a whole clean out of our place. We're just trying to de-clutter everything and we have a ton of clutter. Some area's you can't even walk in because we have so much crap.

I want to sell a few on my LOTR action figures. It hurts me to part with them, but I have no room for all, so I'm just going to keep the ones I really really love. Does anyone know a place where I could check out how much they're of value? I want to post some on eBay, or if anyone wants first dibs let me know (but I don't know what I'm selling quite yet).

Things are getting a bit better. I still get sad, but mostly now I'm happy that he's not suffering. It's been the hardest on my dad since Jack lived with him when my mum and dad split, but he's getting better. Mum and I are trying to convince him to get a fish for now. We may get him a dog for Christmas, but we'll see.

The skunk has been coming around again. I saw him going down our walkway and he was huge! Cute as hell though.

I'm worried about Coda. Over the past couple of days she's started pee'ing everywhere. On the rug, couch and floor. The thing is she still makes the box sometimes, so I'm wondering if she's sick or is just being lazy. I hope she's alright. Mum and I can't afford to take her to the vet and spend hundreds of dollars on tests. She does need to loose weight and we're working on that, but we're hardly seeing any results. Does anyone have any kitty diet suggestions?

A woman came by on Sunday and asked if I could do a survey with her about what kind of magazines I read, radio I listen to, ect. She gave me a huge booklet to fill out (more like just check off what applies to me) and she'll pick it up Wednesday. The best part? I get $30 for it! The booklet took me about an hour to fill out, so $30 for an hours work? Not bad. And it's legit. I have her card and I looked up the company on the intrawebs to make sure.

I also set up my LJ Guestbook! Feel free to sign if you want. :)

I want to see Pirates again.
bunnylove: (Cupcakes)
I still can't quite believe it and neither can my parents. We're still in shock about the whole thing. My dad's doing a lot better than mum and I thought. It's going to be hard for him because it was just him and Jack at his place. I've had my moments today where I want to phone up and see how he is, but then I think "oh, right" and try to get past it.

Some people may thing 'it was just a dog', but as a lot of pet owners know that it's more than that. They affect our lives so much that it's really amazing how much it hurts when they leave us. He was my first dog. I got him when I was 12. My family has been blessed that we had him despite the trials we faced. We haven't had a loss in the family for a very very long time, so really this is the first passing that I've had to deal with as an adult.

For those of you who are curious, he got very sick very very fast. He was in a lot of pain and couldn't walk and it was just the humane thing to do. It didn't make a lot of sense to spend hundreds of dollars to prolong his life when he wasn't going to be happy. The vet said it could be a number of things, but we just don't know exactly what. Even the vet was crying with us yesterday, that's how much he affected everyone.

Thank you everyone, it meant a lot to hear what you had to say. I still don't feel like discussing it much, so again, please don't take it personally if I don't reply.

Last night and today I worked on my layout. I needed to take my mind off of things. I'm happy with the way it turned out, but the only thing I don't like is that I can't use the customized comments page because the original layout was made for free/paid users.

Aye, avast!: [livejournal.com profile] leggyslove

It looks better in Firefox. There are still some bugs that need to be fixed for the IE view.

Eowyn's been missing since yesterday afternoon.
