Happy Birthday, Sam Winchester!!! <3

Sam: Why thank you!

I created two RSS feeds for Heroes because I'm lazy and don't want to visit the sites each day, so why not read them on your FL? I hope I created them right, I've never done this before.

[livejournal.com profile] heroestvnews and [livejournal.com profile] heroeschronicle.

and if you love to cook and love latin food, check out [livejournal.com profile] boriqua_blog. ;D

Now I go to bed and read and then sleep. Tomorrow [livejournal.com profile] gremmie_goo and I are going to go to a shelter and look at cats. We're just looking although knowing myself I'll probably bring someone home. I can't believe it's almost been a month since I lost my Coda, so we're just going to get ideas. *cough* Oh, and mum doesn't know about this, so no one tell. LOL

Night!

Wednesday was my grandma's 90th birthday. Honestly? None of us thought she'd hit 90, but here we are. We went down to have cake and stuff and she seemed to enjoy it. Afterwards mum and I had dinner at my aunts and it was nice. We haven't seen anyone since... Christmas I think, so it was a change. I also talked to my great aunt (she lives in California) whom I haven't talked to since I was about 13. Scary how time goes by.

Yesterday was my first day back at work since Coda and I was alright. I wasn't quite with it, but I didn't burn anyone (or myself), so that's a plus. When I first came in an told S what happened I cried, but thankfully I didn't lose it in front of any customers. That would have been embarrassing. So far I haven't lost my cool with any customer, although there are some times that I'd really like to.
ove rall I'm doing alright, not great, but alright. It hasn't even been a week yet and in some ways it feels like it happened 100 years ago and then sometimes it feels like just one day. Eowyn still seems alright, she's been bouncing around and all that. I'm sure she's figured it out by now (either that or she's more of a blonde than I thought).

It's scary how much celebrity pictures are air brushed. I mean we all know it, but then when you see the original versus the finished one it's amazing. Some of those pictures are perfect just as is, but of course Hollywood frowns on things like wrinkles, freckles (except Jensen's), moles, saggy skin, flab, pudge, small boobs ect. Bah. Stupid media.

I don't want to go to work tomorrow, but at least I know that after tomorrow's shift I get a week off. I asked to have it off because I have 14 art assignments to finish. Most of them are easy and not hard, but they just take time. I'm just happy I have enough vacation hours that with the ones I'll be using next week I'll still have over a week worth of vacation to use.

I have successfully watched every episode of Gilmore Girls that has ever aired. :D Now I can watch all the new eppys when they air and if there is a season 8 then I can watch that.

Rainbow Brite on DVD!!! :D
bunnylove: (POTC - My Dirt...)
I've been trying to make this entry for the better part of the day, but every time I open up my client I can't think of what to write. I feel as if nothing I say will really convey what I really feel, but I'm sure anyone who has lost a loved one knows what I mean by this.

But what I can say a big heartfelt thank you to everyone for their comments and love in my last post. It really did help, even if I haven't said anything. I just want to be a hermit right now and hopefully take my mind off of things. I keep thinking that she's just asleep in the sun room or on the couch, but then I remember she isn't and it breaks my heart. Mum's been pretty sad all day as well. It'll take a bit for things to sink in really and get used to not seeing her around. It was like that with Jackson when he first left us. I kept thinking he was just over at dad's.

Eowyn, however, has been bouncing around and being a little terror all day. She's sniffed around and sort of made a tour of our place, but otherwise she doesn't seem sad at all. If anything I could almost think she was happy. I think she knew/knows and isn't too upset that she's gone. It's amazing what animals can do and think.

Again, thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and words, it means a lot to me. I may or may not reply, I dunno.

Last night I realized that when we adopted Coda we adopted her in April, so it's kinda odd how things like that work out. We got to have her for almost exactly 6 years.
bunnylove: (Default)
We had Coda put to sleep today. It wasn't fair to keep her suffering.

May 4th, 1991 - April 8th, 2007. We adopted her from the SPCA when she was 10.

It feels as if there's a bowling ball in my gut as I write this and I'm trying not to hyperventilate either, but I don't think I can ignore the facts.

Coda isn't doing well. The past two weeks she hasn't been moving around like she used to and she's peeing on the floor just where she lays. And now mum and I have noticed that she's not eating much. For those of you who know her (either through here or in real life) you know that's not good. It's all about the food for this cat.

She's 16 (17 on May 4th) and almost 30 pounds. Not healthy I know (and if you say that it's bad and that you're killing your cat I'll get pretty angry, I know it's bad, I know she needs to drop the weight) and we've been struggling to get her weight down for so long, but it's just not coming off, because she doesn't move around like younger cats, even with the diet food and all that.

And now mum is going to try and get a vet appointment for next week. I'm so scared, the last time we took anyone to the vet it was Jack, and he had to be put down. I'm so scared that this will be the same.

I'm going to try and work on my report for art class. We have to do a report/history on an artist and I thought I'd do mine on Kurt Halsey.

I bought Coda a new toy the other day.

Guys, if you have any furries please read the following article and the list of pet food that has been recalled:

http://www.menufoods.com/recall/
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17754681/wid/11915773?GT1=9145

Mum and I were feeding Coda and Eowyn one of the brands on the list, but not everyday. We buy a few brands and one of them was on the list. They seem ok, Eowyn is bouncing around and Coda is still snoozing away 24/7. The only thing that's different is that Coda's taken to peeing outside of her box all the time now. We're keeping an eye on that, but she does seem fine. I poked her and she got annoyed. ^_^
bunnylove: (GG - Dance)
Today I had a very lovely chat with [livejournal.com profile] burningxflowers. I'm so happy I was able to finally connect with him over the phone. ^_^ Anyway, I promised I'd post some photos of Coda, because I haven't for awhile. Just as I was about to take a few new piccies of her my camera died and I don't have any new batteries. I'm sorry love, so here are some older photos. I'll get some new batteries tomorrow and post some new pics. :D

I also wanted to post a photo with Coda and the new photo album I bought today (I got the aqua coloured one). How cute is that? When I saw it I just had to have it. I barely have any pics of my kitties developed, so I think this will be a good excuse to do so.

Mum and I went to the Lonsdale Quay market today for lunch and some shopping (ok, more like window shopping). We had a nice time together even though mum wasn't feeling her greatest. Anyway there is a sex boutique there that has lots of gag gifts and other 'toys' for sale. Of course mum and I had to go in and these conversations ensued: Read more... )

I'm in love with Jensen Ackles ass freckles. I just love them to death. I want to hunt them down on set and just yell at him "I LOVE YOUR FRECKLES AND SLEEP WITH ME!" Think he'll go for it?

What's been going on in my life. Not a hell of a lot, just a lot of stressful and depressing and exciting things.

We need a new car. Unfortunately our little 1991 Subaru doesn't agree with my mum. The car itself is fine, but it's mum's knee. She's in agony. She's not getting better she's getting worse. It's getting to the point where she can't walk or drive. It's terrible. The pain is putting a major drain on her mentally and physically. Since the car is a standard she has to use the clutch with her bad knee. She hates driving and dad won't let us use his car for more than a few days (it's an automatic) before he wants it back. He wanted his car back the last time because he missed having AC. I'm not kidding.

LMFAO Sam just glued Dean's hand to a beer bottle. XD Sorry, watching reruns of Supernatural as I type this up.

Anyhoo, the drugs she was on did absolutely nothing and her doctor is out of town for the week. She's been to the clinics ect and no one has a clue on what to do. Her doctor doesn't really seem to realize the amount of pain she's in and doesn't really do anything or care. She just brushes it off most of the time, so mum needs to look for a new doctor. She doesn't want to, but no one is giving her results or better care. If pills don't help then a shot or something. We don't know the results of her back x-rays yet because of her doc being out of town right now, but maybe that'll yield some better results.

I don't know. The whole situation is just so frustrating. There's nothing I can do about it. I take the bus most of the time anyway, but driving for her is just become so painful. There's no bus route near her work, so she has to drive. We looked through the classifieds in the paper and the cheapest standard that's just a basic little car was $2000. No chance of us getting that money any time soon. I guess we could sell the car, I'm not sure. The whole situation is just frustrating.

Mum told me to see if I could get approved for a Yaris. They have a special deals on 2006 modles for students. Couple of problems: a) don't have the money b) I don't have a lisence. LOL How can I get a car without one?

Work has been... not the greatest. Nothing customer wise or anything like that, it's just since the assistant manager who basically ran our store left our manager has no clue what she's doing now. Things are pretty stressful there and all we can do is laugh and shake our heads at it.

Kingdom Hearts )

As my last entry showed the raccoons are still around. They're a blast to watch just roll around out there. They make their rounds through the neighbourhood and stop in our backyard to play. I guess their den must be near here because they have this whole route they follow.

They still want to come in and they do when we have the door open, but then we shoo them out. Sorry, guys no steak here. Or whatever they eat. One of the families sent a baby up the apple tree to the bird feeder to knock peanuts down to the rest. Cunning buggers, aren't they?

Registration for school is in a few days. I'm nervous but excited. I just don't know what days I'm going to need to book off from work yet. I won't be making as much money, which worries me because we're not really getting by even now. I told mum I wouldn't go to school this year, but she said no I have to. She just feels so bad about our whole situation and just wants me to get going. I'm just hoping dad can help out. I have to get some new school supplies and a new pair of pants for work, I'm hoping he'd spot me $100 for stuff.

Superman Returns )

Coda and her post attack-ness... yeah. :P )

My winky (Eowyn) just came in!!! :D *goes to cuddle with her*

[eta] forgot to say that for you Starbucks latte lovers we got our shipment of Pumpkin Spice, they'll be back at the end of the month! :)

Tonight at work my boss and I made chocolate whipped cream. omfgsogood.

Coda has her head resting on my left food and her but is resting on my right foot.

I feel like a hot dog. A good one, not one of those crappy ones.

I'm watching Adam Baldwin's episode of NCIS. eee!! Jayne!

Hence the new layout.

I've never switched layouts so fast as long as I've been on LJ. I really did like the other POTC layout I just had, but there were a few things that bugged me that I couldn't fix without having to recode the entire thing, and I just didn't feel like that. This layout I love! I was able to tweak everything to my liking tonight.

So this is what I got. Norrington Turner Sparrow. Because that? Is some nice pretty.

I HAVE THANK YOU'S!

[livejournal.com profile] nikitas_lair - THANK YOU! For the KOH EE DVD and bear! That is so sweet of you and I hope to watch it this weekend. *hugs tight*

[livejournal.com profile] weasleyswit - THANK YOU! For sending me the issue of TV Guide and the note. That really meant a lot, so thank you.

[livejournal.com profile] gremmie_goo - I already said thank you, but I wanted to let you know that your b-day pressie to me got me seasons 1 and 2 of the X-Files. *smish* I love it when Future Shop has a sale on.

Everyone else - Thanks for being who you guys are. :)

I've been pretty busy these past few days. Mum and I are currently doing a whole clean out of our place. We're just trying to de-clutter everything and we have a ton of clutter. Some area's you can't even walk in because we have so much crap.

I want to sell a few on my LOTR action figures. It hurts me to part with them, but I have no room for all, so I'm just going to keep the ones I really really love. Does anyone know a place where I could check out how much they're of value? I want to post some on eBay, or if anyone wants first dibs let me know (but I don't know what I'm selling quite yet).

Things are getting a bit better. I still get sad, but mostly now I'm happy that he's not suffering. It's been the hardest on my dad since Jack lived with him when my mum and dad split, but he's getting better. Mum and I are trying to convince him to get a fish for now. We may get him a dog for Christmas, but we'll see.

The skunk has been coming around again. I saw him going down our walkway and he was huge! Cute as hell though.

I'm worried about Coda. Over the past couple of days she's started pee'ing everywhere. On the rug, couch and floor. The thing is she still makes the box sometimes, so I'm wondering if she's sick or is just being lazy. I hope she's alright. Mum and I can't afford to take her to the vet and spend hundreds of dollars on tests. She does need to loose weight and we're working on that, but we're hardly seeing any results. Does anyone have any kitty diet suggestions?

A woman came by on Sunday and asked if I could do a survey with her about what kind of magazines I read, radio I listen to, ect. She gave me a huge booklet to fill out (more like just check off what applies to me) and she'll pick it up Wednesday. The best part? I get $30 for it! The booklet took me about an hour to fill out, so $30 for an hours work? Not bad. And it's legit. I have her card and I looked up the company on the intrawebs to make sure.

I also set up my LJ Guestbook! Feel free to sign if you want. :)

I want to see Pirates again.
bunnylove: (NCIS - Ecstasy)
Saturday birthday dinner with dad was nice. He took me to the Keg and I ate so much that I wasn't feeling well the rest of the night. He gave me a gift certificate to one of my fave clothing stores and a book (The Alchemist). Afterwards I went to the drug store to buy cough drops and blank DVD's.

My poor mommy has been sick since Friday with a horrible case of bronchitis and a sinus infection. The meds are making her sick and she's missed 4 days of work. I hope she'll feel better soon. And I really hope I don't catch it, mainly because Serenity NOW is on Saturday. If I had to miss that I would seriously cry. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Sunday I put together the new patio furniture. Mum bought some really good used patio furniture last year and we've finally assembled them. :D Mum also helped me replant my cactus, Dean, into a bigger pot. I've never replanted a plant before, but Dean seems happy.

I've been having mini NCIS marathons all weekend. I don't want to go through all DVD's in one go. I'm currently watching "Eye Spy". I hadn't seen the ep "Sub Rosa" in so long and I forgot how cute baby!McGee is! Baby!McGee makes me happy. :D

Coda is currently at my feet snoring away.

I want to start a new layout. I love the one I have now, well to be more specific the theme, I'm just sick of the Flexible Squares layout style. I've had it for almost a year and I think it's time to move on to something newer and cleaner. There are some things that I want to get rid of and some things I want to try out.

And now I present a kitty picspam: Gigi and Bibs x 8 )

To everyone who sent me money for the Young Hercules DVD's, I'm sorry it's taking me so long. I ran into some trouble with my burner, but I've got it fixed, and now I'm just burning away (I have to burn over 50 DVD's right now. o.O). Thanks for being so patient and they will be shipped really soon. I promise.

So I signed that LJ petition:

I'm not 100% with what is written there, but there are some things I agree with and some other issues I wish they'd pay attention too. I don't know what's true or what's going to happen, but I really have liked LJ and the way it's been run for a long time.

I've been fiddling around with various capping programs/DVD programs. I usually use VLC for my capping needs, but they don't usually turn out as good as quality as some other programs. My PowerDVD has the capping option, but won't work and I've downloaded a trial version of InterVideo WinDVD 7, which I personally like the best, but when the trial is up I can't afford to buy it. Does anyone have a working crack for the full version?

I have also been in a real cleaning mood. I just want to get crap out of here and take it to the thrift store or Salvation Army. The only problem is I don't have means to take the stuff there. I just need my dad to get over here with his van.

We've had one lone raccoon start coming by. He's a big bugger and cute. He stays away from us, but mum says he's poked his head in the sun room to check things out. Coda was there and managed to grrrr at him and then she went back to sleep.

And I think I've written enough for now.
bunnylove: (Firefly - Mal <333)
Tonight I went to my first Firefly/Serenity meet up. It was nice and I met some nice people. I also met some of the people that are organizing Serenity Now/Equality Now.

I now am in charge of selling 9 tickets to the event. If you want to attend then see this post and let me know, if you don't want to/can't attend but want to help me out, buy a ticket through me and help me out. No pressure. ;)

Today a squirrel decided to come in and visit. Well, it really wanted peanuts, but I got confused and took a tour of our place. At one point it jumped right over Coda's head. I wasn't home at the time, but mum said it was hilarious. She didn't know what to do. She was sound asleep and them BAM! squirrel jumping over your head.

WTF TV?!

So they cancelled Invasion and Surface. I am not happy. I really enjoyed these two shows and now they're gone. I'm so sick of the cop/lawyer/crime shows on TV. Really the only ones I like and watch on a regular basis is NCIS and SVU. I used to like CSI, but it's gotten so repetitive that I want to gouge my eyes out. At least Invasion and Surface had the more mystery and weirdness a la LOST.

TV networks don't give time to let shows grow and get an audience. *sporks them all*

I gave Coda a bath today. She pee'd on me again (note to self: make sure she goes BEFORE you throw her in the tub). Revenge of the Queen Bee. She's currently snuggled up beside my leg, which is rare, so she either wants to a) apologize for pee'ing on me b) thank me for getting her nice and clean or c) wants to get more revenge by getting my pants wet/damp.

I think it's option C.

*facepalm*

bunnylove: (Firefly - LMFAO!!)
Coda just set herself on fire.

Ok, well not fire fire, but every year for her birthday we put a candle in her dinner. Usually she just looks around like 'WTF?!' and backs off. I guess this year her tummy ruled over safety. The second I put the dish down with the candle she dug in, not caring about the bit of fire in her food. Now she has some singed eyebrow wiskers and a singed patch of fur on her head and she hasn't even noticed.

I... yeah. *facepalm*
