Moe went after a mouse that was in the living room. He's currently in another room under a bunch of boxes, but I don't know if the mouse is under there too. I hope it's ok. I hate seeing things get killed even though I know it's a cat's natural instinct.

I meant to post about this earlier, but I was lazy and yeah... But anyway, Monday night gremmie_goo and I went to see a talk/book signing by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love. We attended the pre-reception and had some yummy appetizers). Then after that the talk started and we had a great time. Then she signed everyone's books and if we wanted a picture with her afterwards we were welcome to hang around. gremmie_goo were basically the only ones left after the signing to get a piccie and I'm glad we stayed. She's such a great lady and so kind an down to earth. We basically told how much we enjoyed reading the book and how it's given us insight to change our own lives.

She's also a Heroes fan! She said in her talk how her sister gave her the first season on DVD and how she was watching it. We told her it just gets better and then I showed her my 'Vote Petrelli' button and she thought that was awesome. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening and both gremmie_goo and I were glad we went. We got our tickets just before the event sold out, so we were really lucky.

That was a big mouse

An update about the mouse from my last post:

So after a couple of hours of kitty watching Tinkerbell finally ended up catching the mouse. She ran under my mum's bed and since my mum's bed is against the wall it makes it hard to see anything because it's so dark and there's a... wall.

ANYWAY! Long story short, after we determined that Tink was SITTING on the mouse and hadn't killed it mum went and got me a pair of tongs. Tink had it cornered, but I was able to get on the bed and had enough room to get the tongs down there between the bed and the wall and grab the poor mouse (holy shit it was big). Anyway, mum was right behind me with a bucket and a lid, so I threw the mouse in there, struggles ensued to get the tongs out without letting the mouse go. Mouse got out, mum freaked out and fell on it, so now this poor mouse is under mum's arm pit and starting to snuggle into her sweat shirt. All mum could see was this long tail (um, ew) and I panicked, grabbed a near by towel, shoved my hand under my mom's arm pit (my hand was covered by the towel) and GRABBED THE MOUSE AND STUFFED IT IN THE BUCKET!!!!!!1! Then I took it outside and put it under the shed with some bird seed. :D

The things my mum and I will do for these creatures. And it doesn't matter what creature, we are all suckered by them all.
