My laptop keeps shutting itself off. Um. Fuck.

I don't want to reformat it, but it looks like I might. How the hell am I going to back up some of the files I haven't already? Shit.

500GB of love

I bit the bullet and went out and bought a 500 GB external hard drive (for a damn good price and was actually $20 cheaper than the 250 GB's ones they had). I tried burning some files on DVD's but my laptop just shut down. *shrug* I'll feel better transferring everything onto this and I won't have to contend with DVD's right now. My laptop (at the moment) is working alright, but I want to reformat it because I know if I don't it'll turn off when I'm doing something important (thankfully it hasn't done this yet).

I'll also transfer everything on my big PC onto this and reformat it as well. It's been running poorly for awhile now and I'd like to refresh it. It's 6 years old and is still a good computer, but I hardly use it for much anymore except for printing and a few other things.

I'm currently transferring my pictures folder... this'll take awhile. [eta] FUCKER SHUT OFF ON ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And big find of the day! I went into HMV to just look around and they have every season of The X-Files on for $19.99!!!!! I couldn't pass that up so I snagged season 3. I may go back after pay day and grab season 4.

Holy shit, technology

Technology is definitely not my friend today. Holy shit. I'm having such a hard time backing everything up, it'll take forever because my laptop will run for about 5 minutes and then shut itself off, no warning. Bah. I'm scared to back up the SPN caps I don't have already saved. :P

I also wanted to say that Knob Cat Tinkerbell's eye looks fine now. She must have been stung or something.

Tomorrow night my family and I are going to see Spamalot! I'm so excited. I haven't been to the theatre in like 100 years.
