bunnylove: (LOLCats - Full Speed Ahead Kitty)
I am happy to announce that LJ got adopted. When I went in on Wednesday he wasn't there and the sheet said he had been adopted on Sunday. I was a bit sad since I would have loved to have him, but I am happy he's now in a good home. On Wednesday I came in and there were three new kitties; Mouse & Spunky (they're brothers) and Cleo. I am head over heels in love with Cleo and I really want to adopt her. If the damn adoption fee wasn't so much I would take her, but right now I can't. I'm seriously considering asking if I could take her and pay the fee later or something, but if she gets adopted this weekend then she does and I'll be happy to know she's in a good home.

Tomorrow is the adoption event with VOKRA/Pet Smart, so I'm going to help out for most of the afternoon. We'll be getting even more kitties in just for the day, so hopefully they'll get homes as well. I really do hope Ebony gets a home as well. I love her to death, but she can't be in a home with any other cats, kids or dogs. Plus she's all black and for some stupid reason black cats are harder to adopt out. She's been at Pet Smart for a month now and really is a darling, evil little thing. With any luck she'll get a good home soon.

OH MY GOD.

Tinkerbell just brought us a present. We're used to the birds, the mice, the shrews the... god knows what else. But just now she decided to bring us something new.

A rat.

A BIG BROWN RAT!!!! SHE JUST CARRIED IT IN THE WINDOW AND PLOPPED IT ON THE FLOOR AND IT WAS STILL ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mum thought it was a shrew or a mouse, but WHAT SHREW OR MOUSE IS THE SIZE OF A SMALL CAR? HUH? NOT THAT!!! (she said she was in denial.)

We put a bowl on top of it to keep her from getting at it (at this point we weren't sure it was alive), then it got up and and was all WTF?!?!? So I got the lovely task to take it outside, far, far away from the house. Hopefully it is back in nature doing whatever the hell it does. Poor thing looked confused when I let it go by the creek, I would be too if I just got snatched up by a big black thing.

WHY CAN'T THIS CAT JUST LEAVE NATURE ALONE? WHY? NATURE IS HAPPY BEING OUT IN NATURE, NOT IN MY HOUSE!!!!

MY PASSPORT ARRIVED!!!

I can now legally travel to the US without getting body checked, tasered, pepper sprayed and cuffed at the border. I've never had a passport before, so this is exciting (for me). [/nerd]

Moe. He decided to make himself comfy by squeezing himself between my PS3 and the wall... I don't know why they do that, but he proves that once again, the bigger the cat, the smaller the napping spot. The cable box wasn't even on, so it wasn't warm. *shrug*

I'm kinda bummed because today dad told me that the only two nights that we're staying in Las Vegas are the two nights that the show 'Love' won't be showing. :( That's the only show I wanted to see in Vegas, but it looks like it's not going to happen. He said his friend is going to look into an Elvish show, but meh. I like Elvis, but I wanted the Fab Four. Oh, well, such is life and I know I'll still have fun. I'll try and see if I can get him to look into a different Cirque show, that would be fun.

Yesterday after visiting my grandma, mum and I went to see How To Train Your Dragon. It was showing in IMAX 3D so even with the movie passes we had we still had to shell out $5 extra per ticket. >.< ANYWAY! I absolutely adored it and thought it was awesome. The animation was spectacular and the 3D was great. I'm not that into 3D, but I think for this kind of movie it works best.

I swear to God that I think the movie people secretly came into my house and filmed Tinkerbell. She is Toothless (the dragon). She does everything that he does, has green eyes and is black. Even when he wakes up Hiccup that is exactly what she does to me. My cat is a dragon. O.O

Today I completely cleaned out the BBQ. It's been since last summer and it deseperately needed it. Now we can start using it whenever. :)

Yesterday I also had to go over to Petsmart to feed the kitties ect. and I spent almost 4 and a half hours with them. It's hard sometimes, because you can't have them out of their cages together, you have to do it one by one (to prevent any sickness/injuries), so while I have one out the other is looking pathetic and then you switch and let the other out and the one you put back looks pathetic and meows. It's a vicious circle and makes me feel guilty. Stupid cats, they have us all under their control.

I'm really enjoying volunteering to help with the kitties. I'm going in tomorrow morning to feed and clean their rooms. Sunday isn't my usual day, but I said I would because the lady who does the scheduling needed someone, so I was happy to oblige. The only thing I hate is getting up early. I've never been a morning person, so it's a pain, but worth it in the end. I play with Ebony with a laser pointer and it's hilarious seeing her race across the floor and then slide face first into the wall. Then she just turns back around and proceeds to do it again in the other direction.

After kitty duty tomorrow mum and I are going to visit my grandma in the hospital (she lives in the extended care ward) for her 93rd birthday. To be honest, no one in our family ever thought she'd make it to 93, but hey, she has. More power to her. Mum and I may squeeze in a movie after if we're not too exhausted from everything.

And now for some sex RDJ from Men's Journal:

I went to do my first volunteer shift this morning. I met the lady at Petsmart and she showed me all the ropes. Basically it's just what I do for Tinkerbell and Moe, really. Feed, water, change litter, play, clean up their area. I think I'll enjoy it. I'll be doing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings since that's what the lady needs right now. She said that there will probably be two more kitties arriving this week, but one may be adopted out already.

This morning I played with Ebony and LJ (he shall be named LiveJournal cat :D ). They're both sweeties and I want them both, but Ebony needs single pet home with no kids. LJ is shy and a sweetheart and I want to take him right now, but I have no idea how Moe would react to his sudden presence. He could be completely cool or it could be World War III.

I like kitties.

I got a job.... but it pays absolutely nothing. Mum and I were at Petsmart yesterday loading up on food for the tribe and we always have to go visit the adoption centre. There was a notice up saying that they needed help Wednesday and Friday mornings, so I called up and offered my services. The lady almost couldn't believe her luck, because she is going back to work next week and was getting desperate. It's kitties only, so what I have to do is the usual, feed, water, clean the box and play with them. :)

The organization for all the adoptions is this one: Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue.

I get to play with kitties and then bring them all home with me ....or not.

Happy Birthday to my mommy, who turns 36 today! :D

Last night I had a dream that I was married to Judesie Law and he cheated on me. XD I can't really recall what I did, but involved some sort of time travel/AU senario, guns and him realizing I was the only one for him and coming back to me. That's right, Judesie, you don't cheat on me and get away scott free.

Some late Oscar babble:

All the winners were pretty much predictable and that was fine. I am so happy Christoph won though, because he was fantastic and deserved that statue. The rest of the show... meh. I wasn't too impressed. However I loved the presentation of the Animated Movie category, Dug is my hero. Of course RDJ and Tina Fey presenting together was awesome.

I'm going to echo a lot of people on my FL and say that I'm glad Avatar didn't win best director and picture. James Cameron bugs the hell out of me (probably because he seems like an arrogant ass) and the movie, while visually brilliant and beautiful, I don't think it is worthy of a best picture. I am so happy that his ex won Best Director. Now we have a woman winner and hopefully that'll open up more doors for women and other races/classes.

I was woken up this morning by Tinkerbell huffing and puffing on my window ledge. She wanted out and her way of pouting/being frustrated involves her making huffing and chuffing noises. It's so cute. When we pick her up sometimes (she's not hugely cuddly) she sometimes does that and also spits. She's our little diva, just like every other cat on this planet.

I also want to say that Chuck is rocking so hard this season. I love it so much and the past few episodes have been some of the best. I'm so happy it returned for another season and hope it stays around for a long while.

Moe's snoring so loud I can hear him from across the living room. XD
bunnylove: (Misc - OMGWTFBEAR!)
A few minutes ago I just sat on a mouse, have it get stuck between my feet/vajayjay (I was kneeling/sitting on the floor looking for it under the sofa chair), have it try and crawl up my PJ pants and tickle my feet in the process.

But that that wasn't the beginning. Earlier this evening we were brought an entirely DIFFERENT mouse and I had almost managed to catch it, but now it is currently under the couch as I type this.

I'm legally changing my name to Snow White or Aurora or something, cuz... fuck.

omg.

I haven't really been having the best couple of days, but I just saw this on my FL and completely changed my mood:

Much love and sexual favours to [livejournal.com profile] angelfireeast for using their photoshop magic on this picture.

In other non-Sherlock!RDJ related news, I saved a voles' life with my bare hands tonight. Ok, not bare hands, I had gloves on, but anyway! Tinkerbell decided to bring us yet another present and when she plunked it down on the carpet it ran underneath the TV shelf. Of course there are a billion cables under there so I couldn't quite get a cup around it to secure it and get outside. Mum passed me the rubber kitchen gloves and I was able to cup it in my hand. Let me tell you, voles can squeeze out of anything, so while I was running to the door it started crawling up my arm. Luckily I was able to place my hand over it and keep it between my elbow and boob. I then proceeded to let it go outside and it ran away for dear life. I hope I didn't traumatize it too much. :/

I also had my first raccoon visit (that I know of) to my bedroom window last night. I heard something rummaging under my window and I pulled up my blind and there were two round ears just visible above my window ledge. It was so cute. It poked it's nose in the crack of my open window and I tried to grab it and hug it. Ok, not really, but I thought it was cute.

I swear if I ever become the last human on earth I know I'll have the animals to take care of me. o.O
bunnylove: (KKBB - Shhh. Harry's thinking.)
For the past two mornings mum and I have been robbed.

Tinkerbell has taken to waking me up around 5:30 the past couple of mornings because she wants out. Of course at 5:30 in the morning the last thing I want to do is, well, anything. So I just get up and open the kitchen window so she can go out and do her thing and I go back to bed. To make matters worse she then comes in and bugs me for breakfast at about 7:30. I even had my door closed the night before last so she wouldn't bug me, but I am now convinced that she can wake me up with her mind. She has evil powers I'm sure.

Anyway, when I get up to feed her and Moe I've noticed that the dish with the dry cat food has some how travelled across the floor and has somehow eaten itself.

No matter where we go we there will always be one or two or ten or fifteen... *headdesk* Mum saw her (at least we think she's a her and that she may be pregnant, that's why she's being so bold in breaking in) the other night as well. I guess we'll just have to be more strict when letting Tinker and Moe out while we're asleep. I kinda hope she's pregnant, I always love seeing baby raccoons around, but at the same time not because they can be annoying.

[eta] she just showed up again and she is big, so I'm thinking she really is preggers.

Dad bailed tonight so I didn't get to see Sherlock on the big screen again. He said we could go on Thursday. I want to see it at least one more time on a big screen before it goes away.

Also, proof that I am six years old. These Sherlock Macros are fuckin' awesome.

[livejournal.com profile] boromirslover, I got your card, thank you very much! ♥

I've got 10 coupons for $10 off a paid account, so if any of you have basic or plus and want a coupon to upgrade your account let me know and I'll fire one your way. :)

I'm really starting to worry about Moe. I'm worried that he's stressed and that his blood pressure may be too high. These pictures prove that he's just gotten out of control:

I found my Christmas present, but he's $175, so I can't afford him being unemployed right now. *goes to pout in a corner*

I had an interview today with an elevator/escalator company and when mum asked me again where I was going the following convo ensued:

Me: It's an elevator company that does maintenance and other stuff.
Mum: That sounds like a real uplifting job.
Me: Yeah, but it could also be a real downer.
Mum: Or some days you could just be stuck in the middle somewhere.
bunnylove: (Misc - Cup O'bun?)
Mum and I have been here exactly a week now and we have now had three casualties and one survivor. Since the place we are in now is at the bottom of... something, the back yard is just bushes, trees, streams and whatever. Anyway, it looks like the kitties are having a lot of fun, too much fun I think.

We keep getting brought voles (or meadow mice/field mice). I came home to two on the kitchen floor on Tuesday and mum woke up to one Wednesday morning. Sadly these were goners, but today I managed to save one from Tinkerbell. She brought one in and after some hunting I was able to get it outside. Poor thing. I hope it'll be ok. :\ Nothing like having a giant cat come and try to kill you to make you lose your shit.

It's nature, I know, but I feel real bad for those little guys.

Voles aside, I am now obsessed with Bones. I've always been a causal watcher and haven't seen a season in it's entirety, but during the move since we could only watch DVD's I put in season one that I bought back in May and am thoroughly hooked. I haven't seen the whole thing yet with episodes in the right order or any other seasons in their entirety, but I plan to remedy that.

I <3 Booth.

Mum and I also watched V. I haven't seen any of the original miniseries or anything like that, but I liked what I saw. I wasn't 'omg best show ever', but I liked it. It was also fun seeing buildings and places that I'd been by/in during the show, I totally forgot it was filmed here until I saw the church for the first time. I loved seeing Alan and Morena on the same show again. Now all we need is Nathan, Adam, Jewel, Summer, Ron, Sean and Gina on and we'll be set. :D

Um. I thought I'd say more, but I guess not. I'm sleepy and shall go to bed.

I'm currently sitting in a café stealing their internet (the sign said it was free) since I still don't have a connection at home. That will be fixed on Thursday when Mr. Cable/Phone/Internet man comes over and hooks us all up with stuff. I do however have TV, so I can at least watch all the shows that I like to keep myself from going crazy.

I recorded last weeks SPN: The Curious Case of Dean Winchester )

The move was.... moveful. Moving sucks so so much, but this time mum and I were better organized for it. It took us all week to move, with the big truck that came on Thursday. It actually didn't take too long, only about 7 hours and the company we went with this time was HALF (like seriously, half) the money it was with the company we used back in May. Which is good because we are so fucked over for money right now it's not even funny. Mum's already freaking out about Christmas since it's pretty much guaranteed to be a bust if I can't get job before then.... and I'm not sure I will. I've been looking for almost 2 months now and nothing. It's making me nervous. I've been on interviews and interviews and so far nothing. Still not giving up, I can't give up, so I'll just hope for the best. I haven't been doing much job hunting the past week with the move and all, but once I get a connection on Thursday I'll go back to it full swing.

The new place is good. It's up off of a main road, so it's nice and quiet. We also have heated floors and the kitties LOVE it. They just flop down on the floor and sleep. I'm still a little nervous about letting them out with the dog in the back yard. We're not 100% sure if she's kitty friendly or not. She's a 10 month old German Shepard. She's seen Tinkerbell through the fence and is very interested, so we'll see.

I'm so thankful last week is over, it took a big toll on all of us. Sunday was the first day I could do whatever so I slept for 14 hours and then had a 2 hour nap in the evening. Yay sleep!

How are all of you? There's no way I'll be able to catch up on anything LJ wise, so if there's anything you would like me to read/see ect. let me know and I'll probably get to it on Thursday or Friday. :D
bunnylove: (Misc - My own deam. My own world.)
Any Merlin fans know if this week there was a new episode? I've been looking for a torrent for it, but no luck yet.

Dad took me to see Zombieland last night. Two words )

Thursday afternoon mum and I went out to Deep Cove for lunch after signing the lease to our new place. It was a pretty nice day (the past two have been monsoons) and I took some pictures. I also met a Bernese Mountain puppy and her name was Bonnie. <3

I stitched together about 6 photos of the cove.

That night mum and I also had a stalker. Mittens was sitting on the table just outside our living room window. He lives upstairs and is the one who beats up Tinkerbell and fights with Moe. He's not the nicest kitty, but he's cute to look at. He sat there for a good 20 minutes or more and watched us watch The Mentalist. I think he likes it.
