bunnylove: (Goodbye Heath)

I know I'm late to the party, but tonight I finally saw The Dark Knight. I just. Yeah. Completely and utterly blown away. The acting was just phenomenal from everyone and a fantastic script.

This is the first film I have seen with Heath in it since he died and I was a bit nervous to be honest. I just couldn't bring myself to watch anything of his because I just couldn't handle it. Now having seen this I cannot believe how engrossing and insane his performance was. It wasn't him by any means. All I saw was The Joker and nothing else. I can't really wrap my head around it yet, I'm still all 'HOLY FUCK MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!'

Just. Gnah!

Heath made the movie for me. His Joker was amazing. He was amazing. And it's so fucking sad and unfair that he is gone!

Yeah. I'm all blown away and proud of his performance, but at the same time I almost feel like I want to cry.

While I thought HL did a great job as Joker, Aaron Eckhart truly touched and disturbed me on so many levels as Harvey Dent/Two-Face. Near the end, when he was on his rampage? He was chilling as shit, man.

He was brilliant! I completely agree with you at the end and he broke. And the effects on his face... just awesome.

Yeah. While HL gets well-deserved props for his Joker, it makes me sad Aaron's amazing performance is glossed over or ignored completely. We'll probably never have Joker again in this Bat-verse (which it must be, HL defined the way that role should be played in it), but Two-Face? Great possibility. Would love to see Aaron return.

Same here. No one could replace Heath's Joker, but I'd definitely be up for some more Two Face.

Yay! I was surprise because my friend and I went to the 8pm showing and the theatre had a decent sized crowed, so I guess lots of people are seeing it again and again.

The Dark Knight is hands down one of the most fantastic movies I've seen in recent years. While I don't think it's the "be all, end all" like a lot of people seem to believe it is, it's certainly powerful, and made that much better by the fact we get to see one of the most amazing performances by an actor who is no longer with us.

Aaron's performance was fantastic as well, and I believe he deserves some serious props. I don't feel like he's getting enough credit for his performance because of Heath's death - but he definitely deserves a round of applause himself. :)

I completely agree. I is one of the best movies I've seen in recent years, but the absolute best? Maybe not.

Aaron definitely needs some serious props, because he was brilliant. I hope he gets nominated for some awards, he deserves them.

It was totally insane movie huh? I loved it, one of the best movie I have seen in a while, and he made The Joker be one of the must memorable villains in history.

Loved it, loved it... :) I'm glad you liked it too

The entire movie is just brilliant. And very, very disturbing. Heath absolutely blew me away.

Also, I have developed some sort of bizarre fangirl love affair with Christian Bale. I mean, I loved him after Batman Begins, but there was something about him in The Dark Knight. I've watched a whole bunch of his movies, including movies I probably wouldn't ordinarily watch, just because I wanted to see him, and that's sort of weird behavior for me. xD

I expected nothing less from him, he was at the top of his game in every single way.

Have you seen Christian in Newsies? You probably have seen that movie a few times. :P
