Same as the old boss...
LOVE THE NEW INTRO! It's all inky and gross feeling.
Anyway, last night I was absolutely fried after school and just came home and had a 3 hour nap. Yay for naps! So I didn't watch it until late last night.
I have to admit, I wasn't really that excited for the season premiere. Last season I really wasn't feeling a lot of it and I was just getting pissed off with all the fan service the show was doing. Having said that I thought last nights season premiere was great. I had already set it up in my mind that it would feel like last year and it didn't. I already knew that something was going to happen to Cas, I just didn't know what. It was heartbreaking to see him do what he thought was just and killing all these people and angels. The Cas we knew in previous seasons would have never done that. Then seeing him give back the souls only to be taken over by the Leviathan was pretty sad and cool at the same time. I can see they just let Misha go to town with that one, I love it!
Usually the season premieres set the tone for the rest of the season and I'm now pretty excited to see what is to come. Last season I was excited but weary, this season I'm not. 'In My Time of Dying' will forever be my favourite season premiere, but it also set up for a great season 2. I didn't feel that with season 3 and season 6 with those season premiers and they are probably some of my least like seasons.
I am sad about what they did with Cas and his character development. I still believe that they should have done away with him at the end of season 5. By done away I mean just have him go back to heaven and do whatever, not kill him or turn him into some kinda beastie. Most of the fandom loved this angel and they just kept him on because of that. I would have been much happier if they only brought him back for one or two episodes of season 6 as more of a 'background' character to maybe help Dean and Sam. Now they had to have him rip my heart out and stomp all over it. Of course this show does this all the time, so I can't really be surprised.
Death last night was perfect as always. I've never had pickle chips before and now I want to try some.
I could also see a lot of Sam in myself last night. I would totally do the same thing he would and just shove everything down so as not to worry Dean and Bobby. The scene with Lucifer broke my heart as well, the look on his face when Lucifer told him this was all just a trick and he was still in the pit was so sad. I can't wait to see what will go on next week.
Dean watching Hentai and drinking Scotch was hilarious. Never change, Dean, never change. Also whatever they're doing with your hair this season, I like.
Bobby... well, Bobby is the master of the universe. 'Nuff said.
