I've decided to wipe my computer and start from scratch. Re-install Windows XP and the disc that came with my computer (the Toshiba one). I've read all the info that came with my computer and it looks simple enough, but does anyone have any tips? I've never done this before and don't want to seriously screw this up. I can't afford to take it to a tech right now (Future Shop is too expensive) and I'm not taking it back to Staples, not after last time. No way I'm going to wait 6 months for a computer again.

Anyway, I'm backing everything up and making a list of all the programs I have, so I won't lose anything.

Dad and I are going to see The Illusionist tonight. I'm excited because I've wanted to see this for awhile. Edward Norton, yummy. ;)

fuck.

My computer is seriously fucked. I have no clue what caused this or how to fix it. Despite what it said on the microsoft website and about 50 others I visited for over 4 hours, I can't seem to fix this. I just don't know what to do. I have to open everything via run > browse > program files. It's just so frustrating. I actually started crying at one point because of it. Virus/Spyware/Malware checks all say nothing is wrong.

I guess I'll have to take it into a tech or somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas?

also my VCR is busted. I can't record anything now, I tried to record Supernatural while watching Grey's Anatomy, but my VCR will record for 2 seconds then shut off.

I think I need to go punch something.
