I'm trying to burn stuff on to a DVD, but it's not going so well. I have an external DVD burner and all the files get loaded up properly, but when it goes to burn it says: "Error: Power Calibration Area Error".

I'm kinda at a loss here. I've unplugged it, turned it off, restarted the computer, but nothing.

Help?

Thanks.

Hi. I was asked to help you out because I burn dvds, but I've never gotten that sort of error. I did, however, find this link.

I don't know what brand burner or burning software you use, but that was the most helpful link I could find without the extra info.

Good luck!

Awesome, thank you. I have a Sony DVD burner and I usually use Nero or Sonic My DVD for burning stuff.

It sounds like the connection between your comp and DVD burner isn't getting enough power. Are you using a USB plug-in? Maybe you should plug the burner into another ... how do you say it ni English?.... the usb hole thingy *scratches head*

I've tried the cord in all differnt plugs, but it still says the same thing. Maybe I need a new cord.
