...it pours. I now have to reformat my laptop. AGAIN. Man, I just did this two months ago. At least I don't have to save everything this time. Just a few odds and ends and then I can go ahead and re-do it.

I got a new router today, the other one was fried. I'm just kinda bummed I had to use some of the Christmas money my grandma mailed me, but hey, it's shiny and new and has 12x the range and 8x the speed than my old one.

On the plus side I did manage to get a nice new lime green fleecy blanket that was 30%. I was most happy with that.

*sigh*

I need Winchester therapy.

My boss was run down by a tow truck over the weekend.

Yeah, you read that right. My boss at work was walking across the street and a tow truck hit her. Thank god it wasn't going that fast, so she isn't badly injured. She just had to spend a night in hospital. But man! A tow truck?! That's insane man.

THE STAPLES SAGA.... )

Heather, I got the box of cookies and the raccoon! Thank you so much. The cookies are delicious and I love the raccoon.

I love my new computer, but my wireless signal sucks. I have my Linksys router (2.4 GHz 54g) hooked up to my main PC, but the signal to my notebook is very low. Even when it's only 12-15 feet away. I'm wondering if it's a problem with my router or is there something I have to do something to my new notebook. I was talking with one of our regular customers today and I told him what I got and he said that these notebooks could pick up a signal 2 blocks away. Ok, maybe not quite, but it should be better than this.

Any suggestions or help? Thanks. :)

Warning: semi-big font and lots of swearing )

Work tonight was horrible. I had a full blown anxiety attack my entire shift and could barely function. Every time a customer came in I almost broke out into tears, and it didn't help that we were super busy and I had to close bar. I had to basically do 3-4 hours of closing in less than an hour. B was great though and told me if it didn't get done, it didn't get done. We didn't even get our breaks so I'm starving.

I started reading A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I have never read a book quite like this and it is both heartbreaking and shocking all at once. I cannot believe this man actually lived this. It just blows my mind.

Now I have dinner.

I'm kinda sad that I may not have a Christmas tree this year. We usually have this giant artificial one we put up, but dad has it packed away in his storage locker and refuses to get it. :\ Mum and I can't afford a real one, so I'm trying to think of what to do.

Took my laptop back to Staples. Pray that it gets fixed this time. Cuz if not.... *insert explosion noises here*

LJ is really starting to piss me off with these old comments.

I am typing this entry from my laptop. Yes, my unfixed laptop. I have it until they get the RIGHT part in, then I send it back for a couple of days (god willing) while it gets fixed. Mum went to pick it up and brought it home. There's another problem. My carrier bag for my laptop wasn't with it. Uh, where is it? They were closed by the time mum got home so tomorrow I'm going to phone up and ask if they have it, and if not... lets just say they'd better have it or I'll really get angry.

Fuck. It's been 7 weeks with this shit. I am so emailing their head office and customer service and telling them. I don't care if they fix my laptop in the end.

Now that I got that out, my mum just walked over and said this:

Mum: My computer is bigger than yours.
Me: You're not my mother any more.
Mum: pppppphhhhhtttttttttttttt.

WAAAAN!

My mum started her new job this week, so she brought home the laptop she's going to be using.

Oh god it's so purdy. It's so nice. It's. Yeah. My mum with almost 0 computer knowledge (as of now), is using a gorgeous laptop with all the bells and whistles.

*goes into the corner to sob*

I want my laptop. :(

My mommy (bless her) phoned Staples this morning because she knows I've been bitching about my laptop. I took it in August 15th to get my USB ports repaired. Nothing yet. She talked to the tech department and the parts they ordered in the 6th of September ARRIVED YESTERDAY. I am just so fucking pissed off. My mum said why the hell is it taking so long and the guy said they had to order the parts from the States, ship the parts to Mississauga (sp?) ON, ship the parts from Ontario to head office in BC THEN SHIP THE PARTS TO THE REPAIR CENTER! Oh my fucking God! Seriously?! Mum (she wasn't angry with the guy on the phone, but she was pissed off as well) asked the guy what gives and the guy said he didn't know. He agreed that it was a bit excessive. So mum asked when it could be ready and he said possibly by the first of October.

Christ, if I knew it would take this long I would have spent $40 of my own money to go get the parts and do it myself. It's insane! Almost 2 months to fix my laptop. 2 months. If I didn't have this computer what would I do? I could have needed it for school, or work or whatever. It seriously pisses me off. Also the guy said something about the motherboard, but mum has no computer knowledge and doesn't know what that is so I may have to call back and ask what gives, because when I brought it in I didn't think I'd be giving it up for so long and when the checked off if they had permission to reformat my HD I said NO or I'll sue you! Ok, maybe not those exact words, but yeah.

Mum said that I needed my computer by Monday because of a new job (heh heh heh), so I could get it back by then, but so far I'm not holding my breath.

Nawr!

I just called Staples to check on my baby's laptop's status and they guy said it is 'Pending Diagnostic'.

Translation: not ready yet.

I WANT MY LAPTOP NOW!! NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW!!! *stamps foot* It's been two weeks and I WANT IT NOW!!! [/whine, snivel, rant]

I gave Coda a flea bath earlier and she didn't draw one drop of blood. ^_^ I think she's feeling a lot better, because I just left her alone to dry off for a while I said hi and she smiled at me.
