This is George.

George is the newest member of our family. He's still a little skitterish and isn't sure of things yet, but today he came to me and let me pat him. He's about 8/9 months old and has the loudest meow you could ever dream of. Some of you may be wondering why we have a 3rd cat, but...

GEORGE LIVES UPSTAIRS!

He will not leave. He gets one taste of Eowyn and Coda's food and now he won't leave. He's using their litter box and will now give us shit if there isn't food in "his" dish. I even caught him napping on one of the patio chairs a few minutes ago. It's like we have a 3rd cat now. o.O His owner was mortified at first that he was coming in, but now she's ok with it because she knows we are.

If you've read the past couple of entries you'll know that I have had some 'guests' come and visit.

When I got today I heard Coda growling, I thought it was just Eowyn bugging her, but then I heard Eowyn hissing. Eowyn never hisses at Coda, so something is off. I get up and go to see what's up and there is a giant fluffy grey kitty on our couch. I've seen this kitty in our backyard before, but never in our house. The poor thing was frozen still when I walked in the living room, so I opened the door and told it it can go out this way. After a couple of minutes of waiting it finally worked up the courage to leave. Eowyn then proceeded to flop on the floor and act cute.

So yes, I live in a zoo. Not a home. A zoo. I thought this would be reasonable a amount for admission:

$8 for adults
$6 for kids under 12, seniors and students with proper ID
Group rates available upon request.
bunnylove: (Orlando - ....the hell?)
I was just sitting in the living room checking my email when I catch some movement out of the corner of my eye. I just thought it was Eowyn since she's white with a bit of grey/brown, but it wasn't her. I look up, and before I knew it I had a Jack Russell doggie on my lap licking my face.

WTF?!

I had opened the sliding door to the sun room to let some fresh air in and I guess the little girl (it was a girl puppy) decided to come in. I haven't seen her around the neighbourhood before, so I haven't a clue where she lives or if she's just visiting. Anyway, she wave very friendly and omg! so bouncy. JR's are always so energetic, but this one was just wiggling and bouncing away like mad. I'm pretty sure she followed Eowyn's scent into our place because she was sniffing up a storm and Eowyn was hiding under the couch. Coda was all "WTF?! YOU'RE IN MY PERSONAL SPACE!!", but the puppy didn't even bat an eye at her. It was hilarious.

After finishing off the bowl of cat food and spending 20 minutes sniffing around our place/yard she left. I could hear someone calling something outside, so I'm pretty sure her owner was looking for her. In all the excitement I managed to get a piccy of her.

I swear my backyard is a magnet for all things furry.

Egads!

[livejournal.com profile] nikitas_lair, I got your Christmas goodies today. I honestly wasn't expecting that when I opened it up. Thank you, that meant a lot. :) Also mum's very touched that you thought of her as well. *hugs*

Today at work was freaking fantastic!!! [/voice dripping with sarcasm]

First our ice machine was broken, so no ice. Then we noticed our floor had a big puddle. No problem, we mop it up. Then the puddle decided to come back. The puddle wasn't a puddle, but a plumbing problem that we thought was fixed. We had just gotten our floors redone because the leak had ruined them. But we thought they had fixed the problem, apparently not. So now it started to leak up through our by the bar. It was a mess. So we 911 a plumber and they came, but had to shut off all the water. No water = no bar and no drip coffee. And remember our ice machine was broken, so we had a very limited amount of ice that we borrowed from the pub next door. It was like a comedy of error's all day at work. Then while the plumber and the guy who fixes the ice machine was there the pest control guy comes because the book store has a mouse problem and they've been getting underneath the counters and walls. It really was a fun shift, but at least I got to leave an hour early. We were just all standing around looking for something to do.

Maybe I'll get tomorrow off if they can't fix the plumbing. Wishful thinking.

I think Coda has cold, she won't stop sneezing and she sounds stuffed up.

Today was better than yesterday. Managed not to cry at work today, so that was a plus. We had a guy come in who was a handwriting analyst. It was so cool, he was able to tell us things just from our handwriting. We all had our writing analysed and he said that I was sensitive to criticism (which can be true), I'm sarcastic (true) and I prefer to stay home and read books (also true). Kinda scary, especially what he said about some of my co-workers.

ATTENTION ALL MY GREEN TEA STARBUCKS CRACK HEADS! )

I'm thinking of buying a new pet. More specifically a fish. They had a bunch of fish at Wal*Mart and I dunno, I kinda want one. Just put it on my dresser and watch it float around. Very zen. Of course I'd get a bowl with a lid on it. Don't want any paws in the water, or teeth. Hell if I know what Pinky would do. I doubt she's seen a fish in her life.

Today mum caught a big grey kitty staring in our window, or to be more specific, at Coda. Dunno what he was making of her. LOL Anyway, Eowyn caught sight of the other kitty and went over to the window and they were nose to nose. Then all of a sudden the grey cat started hissing at Eowyn. Dunno what it's problem was. Eowyn was inside, it was outside. Maybe he was pissed because she was blocking his view.

This morning we woke up with about 5 inches of snow out in our yard. When I got home from work it was almost all gone. Mother Nature is sure gone screwy these past couple of days.

I bought a new scarf today at Wal*Mart. It was $1.

I have to work until 9pm tonight. Boo. But at least I got to sleep in. Yay.

I'm having a bitch of a time trying to cap some of my Dark Angel DVD's. I'm not sure what's going on. I can't seem to cap it with PowerDVD or BSplayer Pro. *scratches head* I could cap it before. I wonder what gives. Any ideas?

I think my icon *points up* was the source of some very nice dreams last night. *EG*

Aw, Coda just snuggled up to my knee. Well, her butt's on my knee. That's about as much snuggling you'll get from her.

Made a new layout for [livejournal.com profile] bunny_pics yesterday! I'm very happy with it.

And now I must go get ready and grab the bus.
bunnylove: (Go Away)
Aunt Flo has stopped by to visit and since my emotions have been all over the map. Sad, happy, bouncy, good, anxious and just weird. I haven't been this moody for a long time.

I finished reading the Black Jewels Trilogy again. I love those books so much. Also Anne Bishop's new book Sebastian is out now as well. I have to go find a copy, it looks really good.

I gave Coda a bath yesterday, but was met with the ultimate revenge. She pee'd on me. I was just about to put her in the tub when I felt this warm stuff on my leg, sure enough she was dribbling down my leg. I guess she had to go before I put her in, but decided to let me have it. I've never had a cat pee on my before. I've had cats that have pee'd on my stuff, but not on me. It's a very interesting experience.

Last night dad took mum and I out to the Tomahawk for dinner. I always love their food, but they obviously made my burger after my mums. She had the mushroom burger and there were bits of mushroom on my burger. I'm allergic to mushrooms, so luckily I didn't eat a lot before I realized. I felt a little sick afterwards, but the were nice and remade my burger mushroom bits free.

I remade the layout for [livejournal.com profile] tonydinozzo and I'm thinking of doing one for [livejournal.com profile] bunny_pics.

On a fuzzy note, Eowyn and I had a small photo shoot this afternoon.

I found one of Coda's whiskers in her dish. I love it when my cats loose a whisker, they always look and feel kind of like quills.
bunnylove: (Smeabob)
I bought Coda a SpongeBob place mat for her dish today.

That is all.

Teddy

There was a cat up for adoption in the paper, his name is Teddy and he's 6-7 years old and I really want to adopt him. But I fear that Eowyn would beat the living snot out of the poor guy since she beats up everything that comes into her territory. Coda would probably be annoyed for about 10 minutes, but then get over it and go back to sleep.

My neighbour upstairs adopted a kitten last month, his name is George and he'll be 'coming out' in the spring. God only knows what Eowyn would do to him. LOL Hopefully we can get them to meet before then.

Dad's over here putting up some curtain rods and stuff for us and he brought the dog. I thought I'd bring Jack down for a little hello to see dad. Some of you may remember that Jack is not a cat friendly puppy.

Jack: *sees Coda eating cruchies through the sun room glass door*
Coda: *eats*
Jack: *zero's in. kill mode set*
Coda: *pause*
Me: Hi Coda!
Jack: *kill mode still set*
Coda: *looks over, sees Jackson (still in kill mode)*
Jack: *presses nose up to the glass*
Coda: *stares at him, blinks, goes back to eating*
Jack: :O(~

She doesn't give a damn. Poor Jackie. LOL

Today was a really rough day. It was my first full 8 hour shift and it was also my first 'real' time on bar. God knows how many shots I fucked up. Then when it got slow B lined up 4 different drinks and wanted me to make them under 2 minutes. Two minutes later I was still steaming milk for one of the the drinks, I almost broke into tears. In fact I almost broke into tears 4 different times, but B was really nice about it. She's very stern when she wants you to learn something, but I don't take it personally, she's such a nice person. Sort of like McGonagall, only not as old and no magic. LOL

Now I'm home with one hell of a headache, espresso on my face and I'm going to eat dinner then Lost.

OMFGLOSTWTFBBQBACKRIBS?!#@#@**!!~!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!

Also! daizaliciousDaisy will be in the October 3rd issue of TIME MAGAZINE. Go pick it up!

Eowyn killed a mouse today. :( Coda just slept on my bed and ate crunchies.

Coda pee'd all over my bed. My comforter, sheets, mattress, EVERYTHING! Soaked.

NOT HAPPY!

BIRD!

Another thing that has been in our house to add to the list. Blue Jay.

So, now we have: Racoon, squirrel, cats, humans and Blue Jay.

Every morning we up out bird seed and some peanuts for the local wildlife, aka squirrels and birds, and this morning mum found a Blue Jay perched on the back of the couch in the sun room. It just sat there looking around then took off.

Alrighty then. We live in a freakin' zoo.

Holy crap is it September already? O.o What the hell happened? Dad's birthday is on the 4th. I got him a present. Tea. It's the only thing I could afford. :( I wish I could get him something else. Maybe I'll get him one of those cheap CD's you see in Wal*Mart.

I have to work 2-9. I just hope it isn't too slow, because my baby laptop is still taking its sweet time to fix itself I can't bring it to work. I'll just have to bring my book if everything gets quiet.

The first challenge is up at [livejournal.com profile] icons_301! ;)

Coda came into my room this morning and wanted to come up on my bed. I felt so special. Why does she make me fee special when she wants on my bed? It's like she's giving me permission to love her. It's sad I tell you, sad.

Nawr!

I just called Staples to check on my baby's laptop's status and they guy said it is 'Pending Diagnostic'.

Translation: not ready yet.

I WANT MY LAPTOP NOW!! NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW!!! *stamps foot* It's been two weeks and I WANT IT NOW!!! [/whine, snivel, rant]

I gave Coda a flea bath earlier and she didn't draw one drop of blood. ^_^ I think she's feeling a lot better, because I just left her alone to dry off for a while I said hi and she smiled at me.
